Nomad Bistro & Bar (located on 33 Waterkant Street in Cape Town CBD and previously known as Nomad Bistro Fusion) just re-launched and it was an awesome event.
I arrived quite early right after work and boy was I glad as it got busy. Right at the start I met one of the owners, Sunil Krishnan, who took excellent care of me. My friend Rachel from Tipsy Gypsy was a wee bit late and this gave me the chance to make some new friends. While chatting with Sunil, I heard all about his new venture together with his partner Mohit Sureka. Sunil already owns five Indian restaurants and I plan to visit one of them shortly as I love good Indian food!!! This is his first venture into the bar & nightlife scene of Cape Town and I believe they are off to a great start.
I had not visited Nomad Bistro & Bar before the re-launch but Rachel told me that the interior didn’t change that much. The food, drinks and entertainment offer was completely revamped though. They serve finger food, tapas and wine popsicles while can listen to some excellent life music. Tonight we were entertained by Astrafunk and the Space Cats. So we sat there sipping on some G&T’s made with Hendricks Gin and Patron Tequila margaritas while enjoying the vibes.
Nomad Bistro & Bar plans to host weekly events on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
On all three nights, guests can indulge in the tapas special of five tapas for R225 and Fridays and Saturdays cocktails are available at R70 for two.
Give this place a go but make sure to book a spot beforehand for the weekly events as it can get busy. To see what is happening you can check out their Facebook page (link on the right side of this article).
