Good bye Winter, Hello Spring! Delicious bites at Pure Good Cafe

Pure Good CafeAre you ready to come out of sleepy winter hibernation?

Do you have cravings to meet new friends and rediscover Cape Town?

It’s time to say HELLO to Spring!

August is Women’s Month and a perfect time to catch up with the incredible women in our lives.  Now… we know that our Chatters  (you!) love to mingle over delicious bites, so we are joining Shannon Smuts at her 1-year old gem Pure Good Cafe!

Shannon was one of the top 16 South Africans competing on Master Chef (MC) South Africa 2013. A graphic designer before MC, Shannon grew up in the working kitchen of her parents’ restaurants in Newcastle and have always loved to experiment with food!

In July 2013, Shannon opened Pure Good Cafe with the motto: Healthy Food | Happy People.  Everything on the menu are made with fresh local produce, some sourced from Baphumelele Fountain of Hope, a youth project providing vocational training to young people aged 18-21. Baphumelele started their own vegetable garden to train the youth to grow their own food, and these young entrepreneurs now sell vegetables to surround local businesses in Philippi!
