Taste Four Cousins FIVER! a Van Loveren Family Vineyards innovation

Are you a wine lover?

Have you ever had to share your favourite wine with strangers at a picnic?

Do you want a bottle of wine that’s easy on alcohol content for summer drinking?

Wave HIGH FIVE to the new Four Cousins Fiver wines!

Van Loveren, the family owned wine producer behind the popular Four Cousins brand has a Summer Surprise for you… ¬†a fruity, wine-based Four Cousins FIVER range. With Cape Town weather heating up, ¬†I am always craving a¬†crisp and refreshing drink at a braai or outdoor picnics. ¬†Not only are FIVER easy on the booze¬†(5% alcohol¬†in 340ml bottles), I love the deliciously colourful, flavour-popping combinations: ¬†Black (zesty with a ginger zing), Bold (pomegranate), Blush (strawberry & litchi), Cool (apple, lime & cucumber) and Crush (apple & pear)!

When’s the last time you tasted a wine sparkler with dash of fresh pomegranate¬†juice? It’s a funky alternative to the classic mimosa!

With the taster pack, I learned something new about the Four Cousins collection : that there were actually four cousins at the helm of Van Loveren Family Vineyards:

The first bottled Van Loveren wine was made by Nico and Wynand Retief in 1980. From the mid 1990’s my brother, cousins and I joined the farm after completing our studies and launched the Four Cousins range in 2000. Its quality and value have won favour with our consumers and we expect and hope that Four Cousins FIVER will receive the same welcome. РPhillip Retief, Van Loveren CEO

If you haven’t been to Van Loveren¬†during the epic Robetson Wine Festival,¬†it’s time to plan a trip to¬†South Africa‚Äôs largest family owned winery!
